... I purchased this album for my little baby girl.
The pictures are cute and the colors of the animals are vibrant.
BUT the edges all around are really sharp. It is easy to get little cuts and that is not what you want for your child.
Also, to get a picture into the saftey pocket is not that easy.
They are really smartly done so the pictures can't fall out or little fingers pull the picture out. Unfortunately that also creates a very tight space and you have to bend you regular size picture to get it in and that leaves a picture that either doesn't fit well or looks bend.

We haven't had the chance to put any pictures in the "Who loves baby?" book which is basically just a small photo album. I'm not really a fan of the "Baby's Sense-ations Book" though, I think it smells weird.

The bigger problem is that the frame came in three piece; the one side with the horizontal piece and vertical piece attached... then a horizontal piece, then a vertical piece. I thought it must be like this so I emailed Pearhead, asking about it. No response. Guess not.

Look at the other reviews, this broken frame is a recurring problem that I didn't listen to. I had to use 'Gorilla Glue' to hold the pieces together, further complicating the process. This thing is cheap and no way worth the money. I'm glad I had a back-up plan, going to Michael's and getting some of that clay you bake, worked PERFECTLY and isn't 'bendable' like this stuff. It's set forever, won't damage. Just find yourself a shadowbox type of frame, it's the same thing - seriously. ...

This book was a gift from the grandparents and my 6 month old seems to enjoy playing with it HOWEVER, only a few minutes ago I began to smell a Really Strong Gas-like/Chemical Odor and after walking through our entire house I realized that this smell was coming from THIS BOOK after my son had drooled on it. I took a few sniffs because I was in shock and disbelief and am now washing it on a gentle cycle.

Parents should use this item with caution because I cannot imagine what chemical is making the materials in this book smell so awful. I seriously feel like throwing it away just to be safe.

Considering how babies put everything in their mouth I would be careful.

Each of the 12 are listed on the menu, so we play only the ones she's "unlocked". She loves the music and dances around the living room. I agree it would be difficult to sit down to read with the books and dvd together. If it helps anyone, we're about halfway through the yellow (kindergarten) Hooked on Phonics book, and this is right on target - sight words from cards we're using, and she can sound out all of the words, but the video afterward adds an extra motivator. ...

They should have called it a 3D crinkle book instead because that is pretty much all it does. Every page is the same crinkly fabric over and over again. I was hoping it would have buttons to fasten, zippers to zip, velcro to put together, ties to tie together, etc. but it doesn't. If I were to design a book I would put all that kind of activities in it and more. It does have a string with a handle that you can pull and an object moves, but I feel that is only something an older child will be able to master. There's just so much to look at- scenes, colors, objects and that wonderful mouse.
This book has been put through it's paces... chewed, banged, tossed, cleaned, shared and even read too. It is hands down my daughter's favorite book. She's able to push the mouse through the holes herself now and still laughs when she gets him to pop out. She likes to slide him around on the pages and 'talks' about what he's doing. We've had it over 8 months and it still looks brand new. None of the pages are faded or damaged and the mouse himself is pristine.

We got this book when my daughter was a year old and she loved it. She would sit, flip a page, smile and point while we made up stories to go along with the pictures. It's been 7 months we have owned this book now and it's been wonderful. It's been read, tossed, chewed, cleaned, shared and 'loved'. I was afraid the paint might come off at some point, or the nose on the sun pop off. It still looks brand new. My daughter is old enough to place the sun in the holes herself as we move from page to page. The solid thick pages neither stick together nor buckle under clumsy handling. It fits perfectly in our small diaper bag and has helped us get through more than one dinner. I'd like the think we've had some great in depth educational weather conversations, even if they have been mostly one-sided. We currently look through this book 2-3 times a week.
My daughter is rough on her books... biting and peeling them. We've got lots of baby board books that look so shabby these days I'm embarrassed for them, but this book is as clean and bright as the day we purchased it. Sturdy enough for a baby or a toddler. I look forward to not only seeing it on our shelves for a while yet but also passing it down the line.

Baby story is basically a kit to create your own book however you want to design it. I made one for my daughter last year and now plan to do the same for my son. I was very impressed with the quality of the book and how quickly the turn around was. It did cost quite a bit more with printing on both sides of the pages, an extra 10 pages and 3 additional copies for grandmothers. I made a copy for my daughter which she absolutely loves to have it read to her. I only wish I had made my own copy as she did rip out a page already! Also I tried a lot of use of colored paper like in scrapbooking but found that the pages I left white and used stickers to decorate came out best (and a lot quicker too!). Great product but expect to have devote many hours to completing it (not right for everyone).

Babys First Year Memory Book

I ordered this memory book from BUNNYBURYBABY.COM in early March sight unseen. The book that arrived was of extremely poor quality. The inside sleeve was pasted to the inside cover crooked; therefore, the spine was extremely crooked. The thread binding wasn't even remotely tight throughout & the graphics/page quality were both very, very sad. There wasn't a single redeeming quality about this book. It was a REJECT & should have never passed quality control (I have a difficult time believing that it was even inspected)! I placed a call to this company's customer service department & had to leave a message for a return call! There was absolutely no one available to accept my call. I rec'd a return call later that day & was told that I would be sent a pre-paid return shipping label b/c I was not about to pay for shipping back a defective item that should never have been sent in the first place. To date (mid-April), I have not seen said shipping label. I have since completed a customer service request form on BUNNYBURYBABY.COM's website & have yet to receive a response. I WOULD STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT YOU TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!

I got this for my son who's whole theme is "dinosaurs". I was happy to have found a baby book with a little dino on it! This may seem a little expensive for a baby book, beacuse that's what I thought as well. But when I got it, I feel I got my money's worth. There are 80 pages to fill in!! The reviewers who complain of "naive" and "weak" orchestration should read the liner notes. The orchestrations are not Gottschalk's, mostly, but those of Richard Rosenberg, artistic director of the Hot Springs Music Festival. And while it may seem easy to blast Rosenberg, Gottschalk was no master of orchestration himself. I played in the Hot Springs Music Festival Orchestra this summer, including recording more Gottschalk (as well as Nazareth and Bares) for Naxos, and I promise that Gottschalk's treatment of Mehul's "Grande Chasse de Jeune Henri," which will soon be released on Naxos, will leave no doubt in your mind that Gottschalk was right to restrict most of his activity to the piano. (More proof that Gottschalk was indeed the the "Chopin of the Creoles")
At any rate, this series of recordings seems to me a worthwhile historical project. There is some really beautiful music on these discs, in addition to some music that really need never have been revived. In any case, the listener to this disc will find some enjoyment, little offense, and much food for thought about the development of American musical culture.

Our 6-month old baby loves this turtle. We also have the elephant. He enjoyed the elephant months ago. The rings are good to chew on and both turtle and elephant wash easily in the washing machine.
